While your general medical and chest X-ray are valid for 36 months, Immigration New Zealand or the Australian Department of Home Affairs may sometimes request additional health information after reviewing your initial results.
This usually happens if you’ve had previous abnormalities in a past medical or X-ray, or if further checks are needed to assess your health condition in more detail. These extra requests are not unusual and don’t necessarily mean there’s a problem, they’re simply part of the health assessment process.
